Running Through The Night
While I was developing this I asked for comments on the 'linux audio users' list under the heading of 'Needs Drums'. Thorsten Wilms took this on, so here is our collaboration.

Celtic Dreams
This tune was one I originally composed some time ago, but now has many of the synth instruments replaced by real ones - all supplied by a friend, James. The result is far more spontaneous and Folk orientated.

Summer Solstice
This is another collaboration with James, but from one of his own original ideas. All I did was add synth backgrounds and the final mix.

Empires Of Dust
Playing around with some new synth sounds produced the first chord phrase for this tune. The following phrases then came fairly rapidly, but I was stuck at that point until my friend, Oren, built on the basics with guitar and percussion. This is the final result after further work by both of us.

IceScape
The Kara-Moon website has a quarterly review, where we compose a song or melody against a theme. The theme this time was 'Cold'. Once again I collaborate with James. I composed the main theme and James added the guitar and bass. After some rethinks and comments from the reviewers, we settled on this and James produced the final mix.

Wandering
This is yet another collaboration with James. I created the soft chord progression, then James added the guitars, and that beautful melody. This left me with just the final mixing to do.

Gone Fishin
Collaborating with James is becoming a habit. This song was a slow evolution. I played the arpeggios as my first serious guitar recording, then added the synth parts. James added the guitar lead. I added bass, then we came up with a title and lyrics which James sang. Finally I added the bells, did a bit of balancing and recorded this mix.

Monosone Plus
Remco Hogendoorn is a regular contributor to the KVR cafe, and in early 2009 put up 'Monosone'. I very much liked this but felt I could add just a little extra, hence the 'Plus'. It actually took me a year to do this, then check that it was OK to post here.

A December Tune
For a KVR Music Cafe contest we were encouraged to post tunes and indivdual tracks for others to build on. Patrick9 put up a delightful accustic guitar track and although I was too late for that month's entry, I nevertheless felt that once again, I could add some enhancement. I hope you like the result.

Faded Pictures
Originally this was to be a synth tune, then I decided to use my guitar for the lead. Much sweat and tears later I asked James for comments, and he immediately came back with the rhythm guitar part (a great improvement). Impressed, I created a lead 'hole' which he filled with that excellent accoustic guest part.

Red Wine
I posted a short guitar melody to my friend to see what he thought of it. Together we developed it until we ended up with this laid-back tune.

Gently (down life's stream)
On this occasion, I sent a almost complete tune to a friend. He came back with the guitar parts and also some lyrics for one verse. We never got around to making a complete song but here it is as a instrumental anyway.

Closer Than The Dance
An email from Drew invited me to look through some of his poems for song ideas. This one, although quite short, really appealed to me. Sending a completed recording to James resulted in him returning the guitar parts!

The Glass Mountain
For another KVR contest I was invited to collaborate with Spirulence, who provided me with a pretty complete structure. I altered some of the instrument sounds, and added a short bit of melody. After a quick back-and-forth here is the result we are both happy with.

Hands Across The Ocean
This gentle tune is inspired by the concept of international co-operation, hopefully exemplified by all of the other tracks here. Once again, my old friend James adds a delightful laid-back guitar rhythm.

The Search For The Lost Tribes
Once more I collaborate with James, this time based on a much earlier composition (listed elsewhere) I recorded. I think the acoustic guitar and whistle adds a whole new dimension.

No Turning Back
Over on SoundCloud 'RustyStringz' posted a guitar tune that instantly captivated me. Unable to get it out of my head, I started playing along, eventually building up a full supporting arrangement. When I passed it back to Ged he was delighted, so here is our collaboration.
