With R9 at maximum resistance (both channels) quiescent current should be approx 400uA

This is fine for speech and low quality music

Increase LH pot till current rises by 50uA, then RH pot for another 50uA giving a total of 500uA

This is OK for medium to good quality music.

Increase current for each channel by 2.5mA for best quality music.

If you don't have a meter set pots at mid position for reasonable compromise.
