Bits 'n Stuff
In a very loose and approximate subject order.
Why Use Ogg?
An explanation as to why I always recommend the ogg-vorbis music format.
A few notes about me
Here are some short tracks entered in competitions (some later improved and added to my main site). The blackbird was recorded in the 1980s and was a friends hand-reared bird.
A very old part of my website in serious need of updating!
This is the sequencer I use as the starting point for almost all my work.
Corridors Of Shame
A very sad story.
This is a very good software sound synthesiser (softsynth).
This is a Linux only derivative of ZynAddSubFX that, as well as being real-time (RT) safe, has many usability extensions, but I would say that - These days I'm the lead developer :)
This is a zip file of the voices I have created for use with the Yoshimi and ZynAddSubFX softsynths. License is GPL V 2 or later.
My Collection had reached the MIDI limit of 128 voices so it needed a companion :)
Here is another site dedicated to all things Linux + Music.
KVR Music Cafe
This is a somewhat anarchic and very lively website for and by musicians. Lots of original music as well as the famous monthly KVR contest.
A much quieter, but very friendly and supportive musicians site. There is quite a lot of collaborative work done here - the Internet has no geographic barriers!
The National Museum of Computing
This is a geeks paradise and well worth a visit. Rather confusingly it is actually sited within Bletchely Park, but has it's own organisation (and charitable status).
